Meet young Jake. A docile young fella with a head of gorgeous blonde hair and a love for trains and food. (Boy does he love trains and food!!!)
Mum, Cathie is the face and talent behind Phunkey Photography. She is also the hardworking Mum and party organiser for Jake’s 2nd Birthday Party. She put so much energy and creativity into this train themed birthday party for her special little boy, it’d be a shame if it wasn’t captured thoroughly. Enter Heather!
Homemade Cupcakes, gingerbread train and butter cookies in the shape of trains, paper train hats andddd the list goes on. It was all well thought of. OH and how could I forget to mention a homemade cardboard train for the kids to play in! Coolest Mum everrrrr!!!

Cathie’s documentation of Jake’s young life so far is gorgeous and to see the way she had displayed it. Jake is going to look back on his young years and know he had a great childhood!

I kinda wanted one of these hats! Plus it came with a little wooden train! Super want!

Did I mention Jake likes food? He also likes ignoring anyone with a camera. (Apparently Cathie included). This is an exception (the looking at the camera… not the food -wink-)

Oh details details, the gorgeous little details.

And my oh my, did one strapping lad come to the party in his best attire!

Ta daaaaa, here’s the train I speak of. Fun eh!

Jake’s excited for PRESENT TIME!

Opening his apple from his cousins. Apparently it’s an inside joke and Jake nicks apples from their pantry upon each visit.

A lot of cool new toys to play with. Including… would you believe… a train! :) (Percy to be precise)

Happy Birthday to youuuuu Jake!

Yummmm cupcakes…
I’m sure I can get a few more! Store them for later!

Ahhhh, even better… Mr Whippyyyyyy!!! (That’s right… more food!)

Not just for the kids.. the adults loved it too!

Mr Whippy is the best! Yum yum yum!

Least we forget Grandma who hid in the kitchen all day. She did a lot of great work too.

Haven’t you had enough cupcakes Jake?

‘Oh, but I haven’t dipped them in Tomato sauce yet!’

Mmmmmmmmm. (And he kept going back for more!)

And Mum with her son at the end of his very eventful party.

Thank you for inviting me along, I had a blast snapping the fun filled day. I hope you had a brilliant day Master Jake. You are a very lucky young man to have a Mum put together such a great party. Awesome awesome job Cathie!!! :)
Now to get into the rest of the images! :) Lots of Love x
