Claire & Josh {Married} Part 1
One recent wedding free Saturday, Doug and I sat in a noisy pub with a cider or two under our noses, conversing and reminiscing over every single wedding and all the joys that went with it. We shared stories, thought about how we can become better photographers and what we learned from this fruitful season of many gorgeous weddings we were honoured in capturing! Some came with funny stories, some left unconditional smiles on our faces, there were a few ‘oh dear’ moments but mostly hand to heart moments trumped all!
Currently living in Australia, Josh proposed to Claire who is afraid of heights… at the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge… that’s a sure-fire way to get a QUICK yes out of someone! lol. These two were our lucky last of 33 weddings and April 19th had come around fast! We enjoyed as much Autumn beauty that Christchurch had to offer with an incredibly FUN couple to finish off this season!
Doug met Josh on this gorgeous Saturday at Eliza’s Manor where he and his boys were getting all jazzed up for the big day!
Josh has got a heart of gold! I just love how excited he was to be marrying his girl!
…the laughs have started. I don’t actually think they ever stop!
Mariessa Waddington applies the last of the make up.
And in a blink of an eye, this girl has gone from gorgeous to absolutely radiant!!!
The boys were waiting patiently at Newbery Lodge, waiting to announce the arrival of the beautiful bride…
And Josh is absolutely stunned at the first sight of his beautiful wife to be.
After a weeks worth of heavy rain, thank goodness for the marquee, otherwise the required footwear would have been gumboots. Thankfully the lawn was saved though.
Come on Claire, get that ring on that finger!
Follow me through to Part 2 for more of this gorgeous Autumn wedding…
