Sarah & Jeremy {Married} Part 1
November is here. And the 1st day of the month was a day Sarah had been waiting for since Jeremy got down on one knee on a Australian beach one holiday not too long ago. The day she was finally marrying her Uni Sweetheart.
The day was threatening rain for the longest time. Watching the weather is always a stress on a bride (and anyone near a bride). But whatever will be, will be, I always say. And whatta ya know… the day was a mix of grey clouds, breaking sunshine, and torrential downpour when everyone was safely through the doors of the reception.
Sarah and Jeremy’s day was full of style and elegance, beautiful details and the best ingredients to complete any wedding day. The love and joy of family, friends… and each other.
Jeremy was so chilled right from the beginning.
The boys got ready in the home Sarah and Jeremy share together here in Christchurch. We are super glad Simon could make the wedding. He’s in the middle of his Exams to become a Doctor.
Whatever goes through a grooms mind before he gets married? … A lot of the time, other than the obvious (his bride)…it’s quite literally their speech. A lot of grooms tend to worry more about giving their speech and making sure it’s delivered absolutely perfectly, than having nerves about marrying the one they love. (Which isn’t a bad thing) And because I know how it ends… his speech was AMAZING! Delivered to perfection.
So while Doug is hanging with Jeremy.. I’m over at the Bride’s station watching Sarah become the most beautiful bride.
The atmosphere was so relaxed and gorgeous. Not a stress or nerve in sight. The bridesmaids were awesome and so helpful too.
I was loooving the poofyness of Sarah’s devine dress.
Each week I watch as one lucky bridesmaid gets to put her hand up the brides skirt. haha. Always funny, never awkward. So long as she’s careful! ;-)
I love watching proud Dad’s as they watch their little girls become brides.
And Sarah truly makes a gorgeous bride.
Off to Melton Estate in the London Taxi’s, where Jeremy is waiting at the other end…
Christchurch is getting smaller. I’m finding so many connections, no longer is it 2 degrees of separation. A lovely woman in pink pulls me down as soon as I step foot into the ceremony… and asks if I’m Heather ..”Yesss” … and then asked if I’m shooting on a certain date at a certain venue next year .. “Um.. YESSSS” … Well I just met the Mother of a future bride who are family friends of Sarah and Jeremy. Crazy crazy.
Jeremy’s heart must have been beating out of his chest as he first saw Sarah. Such a happy genuine smile.
Celebrant, Julie Lassen gave a beaaaautiful ceremony.
And Sarah couldn’t take her eyes off her groom.
They got quite a cheer for this kiss!
